Thirty years ago, Dolph Lundgren made for an awesome version of The Punisher in the first cinematic adaptation of the Marvel Comics property. His take on the character was only lacking one thing: he never wore that iconic skull on his torso. Now the folks over at The Launchpad Podcast have tried to make up for that mistake.
Lundgren was recently interviewed for the podcast, and that episode can be heard at THIS LINK. In addition to talking to him about THE PUNISHER, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, "and bare chests", Launchpad also organized a photoshoot in which Lundgren put on a Punisher skull T-shirt to recreate the cover of the issue of The Amazing Spider-Man that the character was introduced in, as well as an interior splash from the Punisher MAX comic series.
The images of Lundgren as The Punisher can be seen below, along with the Marvel Comics images the pictures were inspired by.
The Launchpad Podcast social media accounts note that these imagesĀ
wouldn't be this awesome without Aaron McLane and Erik Rose (erikrose.com) doing the digital work and photos by Krista Mosowitz (on Twitter @CA_Stella)!
