Does this Pez dispenser give us our first look at the Lizard in The Amazing Spider-Man?

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Leave it to ancillary merchandising to spoil that which the studio didn’t want spoiled. If you don’t want to know what the villainous Lizard in Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN might look like, turn away now!

Someone sent Comic Book Movie an image of a new line of Pez dispensers to be tied-in with the upcoming Spidey reboot. The image is below for you to scrutinize. While the Pez dispenser could very well be legit, is the Lizard design shown an accurate (albeit plastic-y) depiction of the villain’s final metamorphosis? Who knows?! Images of actor Rhys Ifans in Lizard make-up on set have been kept pretty under wraps – literally. So we’ll just have to wait to see if Sony releases something official soon.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN – starring Andrew Garfield, Ifans, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, and Denis Leary – swings into theaters July 3, 2012.
