Fresh off of the impressive haul that DISTURBIA took in at the box office, DISTURBIA writer Christopher B. Landon is set to write the film THE FLOCK for Warner Independent Pictures. It’s hard to argue with Landon’s track record, as DISTURBIA raked in about 60 million at the box office and held the number one spot for three weeks before the latest Spidey film destroyed some box office records. Landon’s other notch on his resume is the film ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE.
THE FLOCK takes a different approach to horror than the one that DISTURBIA took, as the plot is set in contemporary times and the story revolves around three teens accused of practicing witchcraft. These girls endure terrifying consequences as a result of the ensuing hysteria and scapegoating.
Anyone else getting horrible flashbacks of the Neve Campbell film THE CRAFT? Hopefully THE FLOCK will succeed where that film failed.
