Back in March a rumor surfaced a new Indiana Jones movie was in the works, based on an idea pitched by Frank Darabont. Producer Frank Marshall and Darabont later denied the rumor (with Darabont saying it was "an internet rumor with not a shred of truth in it"), but Disney must be at least interested in doing another Indy flick, right?
Disney CEO Bob Iger recently spoke with Variety, and he apparently told the site "We'd love to make another Indiana Jones movie but we're pacing ourselves right now," and are currently a little too busy launching the new Star Wars films. Last year Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said not to expect a new Indiana Jones movie for 2 to 3 years, so perhaps the plan is to start working on the film sometime in 2016.
But the question is would the new Indiana Jones movie star Harrison Ford, or would it be a reboot with a different actor? Ford has previously said he's still up for a fifth film, but as many have pointed out, it's not like the actor is getting any younger. Which would you rather see: another Indiana Jones movie starring Harrison Ford, or a reboot with a new actor as Indy?
