Disney is in the midst of their Disney Investors Day 2020 live-stream, and Kareem Daniel, Chairman, Media and Entertainment Distribution for The Walt Disney Company, has revealed that they will be launching around 10 Marvel series, 10 Star Wars series, and 15 live-action, animation, and Pixar series over the next few years for the Disney+ streaming service. Given just how successful The Mandalorian has been for the service, it's no surprise that Disney wants to keep these types of series coming.
We've got a good idea of what some of these shows will be; in addition to The Mandalorian, we already know that an Obi-Wan Kenobi series is in development, as well as a Rogue One prequel featuring Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, and there have been rumours of plenty of other possibilities, including an Ahsoka Tano series and a Boba Fett series. Perhaps we'll hear more later in the day. On the Marvel side of things, we've got WandaVision set to debut on January 15, 2021, followed by Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Loki, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, What If…?, and more, but that still leaves plenty of possibilites for future Marvel/Star Wars Disney+ shows.
