Disney+ New Year’s video promises more Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and more!

Hard to believe but not only is a new year upon us but a new decade as well. The last ten years have seen a variety of entertainment changes. 3D came and went, the MCU blossomed, and we began 2010 thinking STAR WARS was over and now we have five new films and a television series. The way we consume entertainment has undergone some monumental changes as well. The use of smart phones expanded, people began cutting the cord with cable, and streaming services exploded.

Although Netflix started it all, many other companies soon followed suit. Amazon, CBS, and HBO all dipped their toes in the streaming pond. Hell even Criterion has a streaming service at this point. Just like boxing though, there's always fresh new talent waiting to take on the champ and a new contender entered the ring just two short months ago when Disney+ debuted its streaming service. Since then millions have joined up to check out their premium programming, everything from the complete run of The Simpsons, to original programming like TOGO, to their flagship smash hit The Mandalorian.

To say its been a good year for Disney is like saying Donald Duck sometimes has some anger issues.

Well, if you enjoyed what Disney+ had to offer in 2019 you're going to love what's coming in 2020. To whet your collective whistle Disney dropped a cool new video highlighting what's coming this year. Check it out:

Aside from more Mandalorian, I'm most excited for Disney+'s upcoming original programming. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as well as WandaVision are going to be top draws for sure but it looks like there is so much more. (Incidentally, the latter is dropping a full year earlier than expected!) As a child of the 80s I was a huge fan of The Muppet Show so I'm intrigued to see what Muppets Now holds in store. Plus I'm dying to see the final season of Clone Wars and Becoming sounds fascinating.

So what do you guys think? Have you purchased Disney+ yet? Does what's in store get you excited? Let us know in the comments below!
