Recently we let you guys know the unfortunate news that director Josh Boone's THE NEW MUTANTS had been pushed back a full f*cking 10 months from its original April 2018 date to February 2019.
Ouch. Not the best news to hit a few months before release. But anyhow, today Boone is still keeping the film alive by letting us all know via Empire Magazine that once the film hits, it will be a "hard" PG-13.
Josh Boone on NEW MUTANTS PG-13 rating:
This movie is probably the hardest PG-13 ever made. I mean, we’ve pushed it. The horror is pretty dark, but there’s also an emotional core, too. If I can scare you and make you cry: that’s the goal.
What do you think of THE NEW MUTANTS snagging a "hard" PG-13 rating and/or being pushed back almost a full year? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the comments below or on social media.
