Die Hard meets The Exorcist in Bill Moseley’s new film American Exorcist

Today comic book writers turned filmmakers, Tony Trov & Johnny Zito, announced the worldwide release of AMERICAN EXORCIST; a Christmas Eve horror movie inspired by psychedelic Italian films of the 70's. Starring Bill Moseley (HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, THE DEVIL'S REJECTS) and Falon Joslyn (ALPHA GIRLS: A SATANIC SORORITY SLASHER) the film follows:

A paranormal investigator is trapped in a haunted skyscraper on Christmas Eve. The skeptical young woman, Georgette Dubois, is horrified once confronted with the supernatural. She risks life and limb to escape her ghoulish prison, stranded on the top floor.

Sounds like DIE HARD meets THE EXORCIST, amirite?

AMERICAN EXORCIST was shot on location in Philadelphia at the historic Inquirer Headquarters. The now abandoned high rise doubles as the equally old and decrepit American Building; a haunted office complex burdened by 100 years of bad luck and mysterious deaths.

Co-Directors Tony Trov and Johnny Zito are lifelong friends who began their careers writing horror books for DC Entertainment (La Morte Sisters) and Image Comics. (D.O.G.S. of Mars). Here's what they had to say about the film:

Tony Trov:

We're very excited about our second feature. This is a love letter to Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci.

Johnny Zito:

Thanks to Bill Moseley's commitment as a producer we were able to accomplish so much more than we ever hoped.

AMERICAN EXORCIST is to be released worldwide on Amazon, iTunes, DVD, and Blu-ray through Gravitas Ventures on October 26th. And today we have the film's poster and trailer for you to check out. You can give both a look-see below and then let us know what you think!
