in-between Cameron Diaz’s legs, but alas it’s in reference to the latest film
she’ll be starring in which will be written and directed by Richard Kelly.
According to
Variety, Diaz will star in the ‘PG-13’ thriller
THE BOX. Adapted from the Richard Matheson story BUTTON, BUTTON by
Kelly himself, Diaz will play a woman that is given a mysterious box by a
stranger and told that different things will happen when the buttons on the box
are pushed.
I can’t say that I’m surprised by the fact yet
another Matheson story has been scooped up for the screen. If anyone’s read his
I AM LEGEND, which will be hitting screens this winter, than you know how
kick-ass his writing is. Also with Kelly at the helm, (Kelly is the one
responsible for the incredibly trippy 2001
DONNIE DARKO; a film that everyone should see at least once!) I’m
predicting something pretty awesome. Mind you Diaz isn’t the greatest actress,
but she was stellar in VANILLA SKY and Kelly is talented enough to make
just about anyone look cool.
No word yet on when the movie will even begin
filming, but to see what else Variety had to say about THE BOX, click
