Those crazy bastards over at Stockholm Syndrome Film are at it again! With two twisted flicks already under their belt the company just wrapped on their third feature – WITHER. Now I know you’re foaming at the mouth to find out what this one’s about. Just hang on a sec and I’ll tell you all about.
First let me get the details out of the way. WITHER is a new Swedish creature feature coming our way from scribe David Liljeblad and directors Tommy Wiklund and Sonny Laguna. The vicious genre romp sports a relatively unknown cast that includes Patrik Almkvist, Lisa Henni, Patrick Saxe, Amanda Renberg (below), Max Wallmo, Jessica Blomkvist, Anna Henriksson, Johannes Brost, Fredrik Dolk, A.R Hellquist, Ingar Sigvardsdotter, Ralf Beck, Sanna Ekman and Julia Knutson. Since you’ve been patient, now you’ll be treated with the rundown for this little diddy!
Albin, his girlfriend Ida and their friends are all in their late twenties. During a family dinner, Albin’s dad tells the couple about a supposedly abandoned house deep in the woods. Albin and Ida sees this as an opportunity to get together with their friends one more time and spend the weekend there. They all get together and are soon on their way. Everyone is excited about seeing the mysterious house. Upon arriving two of the friends, Markus and Marie, decides to scare Albin by sneaking in through a window. Marie climbs in while Albin and the other tries to get the locked front door open. Inside the dark house, Marie stumbles upon a hatch that leads down to an underground area. Out of curiousness, she can’t resist to check it out. But underneath the ground, something is waiting for her…
So what do you guys think? I don’t know if it’ll be turning heads but at least it sounds like WITHER has all the ingredients for a fun time!
Now we’ll obviously be able to get a better idea on this one when a trailer drops but until then we’ve got a few stills from the flick for you guys to feast your eyes on. And dare I say these shots are a bit bloody? Just scroll away above and below and take a gander for yourself!
WITHER just wrapped earlier this month so I’m sure we’ll be treated to a lot more goods from the flick as it enters post-production. As always as soon as any of said goods come our way we’ll be sure to share them with all of you.
