Nice! Gotta love in this day-and-age, when we know everything about every movie BEFORE it even hits the scripting stage, that a film can sneak up on us like… well, like those damn smart-ass sharks in Renny Harlin's B-Movie masterpiece DEEP BLUE SEA!
Turns out that there is not only a DEEP BLUE SEA 2 in the works, but the flick is already shooting in Cape Cod. The sequel is set to hit the small screen and it is being reported that the film is directed by Darin Scott (HOUSE PARTY: TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT) and stars Michael Beach (AQUAMAN).
The film is set to be a SyFy original movie so that kinda sucks, but whatever, if they can get a couple of cameos in there I'll be a happy camper. Like LL Cool J is up to anything better. I'm kidding. But I'm not.
DEEP BLUE SEA 2 synopsis via Movie Hole:
Dr. Klaus Van Etten is experimenting on bull sharks, much to the chagrin of Misty and her team of marine experts. The sharks get out, of course, and all hell breaks loose.
Now again, this is set to be a SyFy original movie so don't be surprised if the end product is more SHARKNADO than the original DEEP BLUE SEA. After all, it is from the director of HOUSE PARTY PART SOMETHING OR ANOTHER…
