You know you’re a great actor when you can play a character that f*cks kids for recreation and people still enjoy your work. And such is the case for Kevin Bacon, who has played a child molester twice in his career (THE WOODSMAN, SLEEPERS). But now Bacon makes his return to film in James Wan’s ( SAW ) newest film, DEATH SENTENCE. The official poster for the film has been released and you can check it out above.

Wan’s new film is set to be released on August 31st, which just so happens to be the same release date as a certain remake, oh maybe you’ve heard of it….a film called HALLOWEEN. But I have to say, the premise of Wan’s latest effort sure pisses me off a great deal less than the remake of the greatest slasher film of all time.

But release date talk aside, DEATH SENTENCE centers on a father out for revenge after his family is attacked in a senseless and heinous gang-initiation crime. The father enacts a death sentence on each perpetrator involved with the crime, and of course bloody, bloody fates await those gang-bangers.
