This isn’t a huge update on the Merc with a mouth, but hey, it’s something.
DEADPOOL helmer Tim Miller wanted to let the fans know where the project was at the moment during an exchange with Nerd Reactor:
“We’ve turned in an amazing script and done some early tests and visual development that–I’m confident–would get the fans stoked. And Ryan still loves the project. So it’s really up to Fox as to whether or not the film happens–all I can do is hope (and beg periodically) that it be allowed to move ahead.”
Anything is better than nothing. However, I fear that this scenario is just going to come up again and again. “Oh hey, Fox is still dwelling on it. Still pushing for it. Can’t wait to share it with you guys. Thinking something will happen soon.” I don’t know what the deal is with Fox. They either need to get some balls or just tell them they don’t think the project is a good idea. Look, you guys f*cked up Deadpool in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, obviously the only way to rectify the situation is to put out the DEADPOOL movie. Then again, I don’t own a studio so I really have no say in the matter. I can only hope that someone out there is listening to the cries of the fans.
Still, thank you to Miller for letting everyone know what was going on.
