Last week we brought you Entertainment Weekly's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE cover, and now EW has unveiled the cover for its bonus San Diego Comic-Con issue, featuring Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. The cover provides us with a fantastic close-up look at the Merc with the Mouth, and the magazine has also posted its interviews with Reynolds, director Tim Miller and producer Simon Kinberg.
Ryan Reynolds would love to kiss whoever leaked the DEADPOOL test footage: "And not just a little kiss, but full on the mouth, sloppy, with tongue, for two straight minutes on live television, without commercial interruption. And then I’ll buy you dinner at Red Lobster, at least, and dessert."
Kinberg briefly talked about the film's hard R rating, saying "It’s graphic. Nothing is taboo. You either commit to a truly outrageous boundary-pushing kind of movie or you don’t." Meanwhile, Miller says DEADPOOL was influenced by David Fincher's FIGHT CLUB.
I felt Fight Club and Tyler Durden were good corollaries. We are in strip clubs and dive bars and crappy apartments and far away from the shiny X-Men world.
In addition, another still from the upcoming film has surfaced online, which you can also check out below. DEADPOOL also stars Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, T.J. Miller and Ed Skrein, and is scheduled to be released on February 12, 2016. And if you're going to this year's SDCC, don't forget that artist Rob Liefeld is hiding Deadpool sketches at the event, and we will be debuting the first clue as to where to find one of them on our Twitter.
