Deadpool, Deadpool 2, and Logan to slice and dice their way onto Disney+ on July 22

The day has finally come for Disney+ to embrace its full potential by delivering some of Marvel‘s biggest non-MCU hits that just happen to be rated R. While 20th Century Fox’s various X-Men films have made their way to the streaming platform, only the PG-13 franchise entries have been on the House of Mouse’s trademark service. But, with the Netflix street-level series changing the game by delivering TV-MA goodness, Disney has decided to offer Deadpool and Logan to fans.

The inclusion of both Deadpool movies and Hugh Jackman‘s final turn as Wolverine shouldn’t be taken as anything but Disney striving to complete their deep Marvel library rather than any indication of news tied to the impending debut of both mutants and Ryan Reynolds in the MCU. Rumors have been abounding that the Phase 4 use of the Marvel multiverse will serve as the conduit for Ryan Reynolds to segue into the overall MCU franchise. Other rumors have stated that Jackman has met with Kevin Feige about returning in some capacity. Patrick Stewart has already shown up in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness as a variant of Professor X, so anything is possible these days.

At the very least, I hope that Marvel and Disney also include Once Upon a Deadpool as well as the black and white version of Logan as options on Disney+. This inclusion could also be a way for other non-MCU Marvel movies to make their way to one location. I mean, Blade should be a given, don’t you think?

Are you excited about the Deadpool movies and Logan slicing and dicing their way onto Disney+? Do you think the above films will be censored or edited for content before going live on the service? Is Marvel planning a significant reveal for this week’s San Diego Comic-Con celebration? In the comments section below, let us know what you think.
