Deadpool 3: Hugh Jackman posts first look at Wolverine in the iconic costume

Fans have been anticipating a look at Wolverine in costume since it was announced. Hugh Jackman teases us with a new social media post.

The announcements for Deadpool 3 have been off-the-charts for comic book movie fans who are looking forward to the bevy of meta jokes and the insane ways the movie will pull the once Fox-exclusive Marvel characters into the official Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only has the buzz jumped from 0 to 60 as soon as it had been announced that this movie will feature an unprecedented return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, but the filmmakers also revealed that at long last, the feral Canuck will be donning his iconic yellow and blue costume that has been immortalized in the X-Men comics and animated show.

Fans online have been ecstatic about the news just as it was revealed, and it inspired a great deal of fan art that had been predicting what the live-action adaptation of the Wolverine costume would look like. Now that filming has been underway for Deadpool 3, and set photos have already been posted online of Ryan Reynolds in a newer-looking Deadpool costume, Hugh Jackman has whet everyone’s appetite with a teasing image of his look as Wolverine with a set pic that the actor has posted to his Instagram stories. The photo is a small-scale, low res pic that Jackman is teasing us with, plus a caption that reads, “Don’t blink,” and little Deadpool and Wolverine 16-bit characters.

Earlier, it was also revealed that Jennifer Garner would be reprising her role as Elektra from the 2003 Daredevil film that starred Ben Affleck in his first go-around in the superhero world as the titular Marvel character. The movie will obviously be playing with the multiverse as these characters are introduced into the MCU. It was also teased earlier that Benedict Cumberbatch will be working on a project with Marvel in the next year. Since Doctor Strange has been responsible for the fractures in the multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it could hint that he may have something to do with the craziness in store for Deadpool. However, it might also mean he could play a part in the Wandavision spin-off, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Or perhaps both. The scheduling lends itself to many interpretations.
