One of the projects that Marvel fans are waiting to resume as soon as the SAG-AFTRA strike ends is the anticipated threequel, Deadpool 3. All that had to be said of the film is Hugh Jackman is back as Wolverine and in the iconic yellow suit, and it would shoot to the top of one of the most-hyped upcoming superhero sequels. The notion of the fourth-wall-breaking Deadpool also getting integrated into the MCU had audiences let their imaginations run wild with their imaginations in regard to cameos.

Director Shawn Levy recently gave a brief, non-descript response to the rampant rumors of cameos. Although he wouldn’t give specifics, IGN reported that Levy addressed on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast how surprised he was to get certain actors to participate in cameos. “Yeah, and what blew my mind also is how easy some of those cameos have been. People love Deadpool. People love Ryan. Thankfully, people also seem to like my work. They know that Ryan and I are in a groove of creative brotherhood that is unique and seems to be working.” In addition, Levy stated that he loved “the proliferation of casting rumors around my movie because there’s so many that it’s impossible to know what’s real and what’s made up.”

Rumors would circulate for a particular cameo when Levy and close friends, Ryan Reynolds and wife, Blake Lively, were pictured attending an NFL game with a one Taylor Swift. With the X-Men finally getting their introduction into the MCU, many see Swift as a perfect match for the mutant character, Dazzler. Podcast host Josh Horowitz would inquire with Levy if it “escaped anyone’s lips when you’ve been in a room with Taylor.” Levy joked about it in a response where he said, “It sure escapes the lips of social media every day, and that’s all I’m gonna say.” Although, it should be noted that Levy added that it “sounds like a good idea.” Additionally, the absurdity of cameo talk surrounding his mere appearance around those individuals tickled him as he reflected, “Literally, I feel like, oh wow, I went to a football game a couple weeks ago and I had a really good time with friends and I am thrilled to be talking about other things.”
