Deadpool was easily the star of his very first movie, but this time around he has some competition in the spotlight. Now, I’m not just talking about the likes of Cable and Domino here. As evidenced in the yesterday’s trailer there is a new hero in the film named Peter, an average man who will be given immense responsibility, and now has a Twitter account to match.
DEADPOOL 2 star Ryan Reynolds drew attention to the character’s Twitter page, @PeterW_1974, and his profile says he’s a “Husband. Experienced Apiarist (Beekeeper). I like sports and grilling on my deck. DM for info.” Going through his tweets, the man is indeed very serious about his beekeeping, which he will perhaps get to utilize in the movie.
As well, the man is a lover of Sketchers Shape-Ups, is fascinated by the weight of his own hand, loves his (cheating) wife’s packed lunches, is upset they cancelled “Frazier,” and says “It’s Hump Day” in earnest.
Some very special fan even made a fan poster for his own solo movie.
In the trailer, Peter shows up along with many of the other actual superheroes when Deadpool (Reynolds) is auditioning them for his superteam, the X-Force. Peter, in fact, has no powers, but just saw a flier for the audition. Deadpool signs him up immeadiatley and he’s soon leaping out of an airplane with the rest of the crew. In Peter we trust!
DEADPOOL 2 arrives May 18.
