One of my jobs before joining here was designing escape rooms, so it's always kinda interesting seeing horror films based around the concept (though the themes I worked on were "Medieval fantasy" and "cops and robbers", and not necessarily the SAW-like Rube Goldberg machines you usually see in movies like this). This includes the upcoming #FOLLOW ME, which just released a trailer that you can watch at the top of the article. Here's the official synopsis:
A social media personality travels with his friends to Moscow to capture new content for his successful VLOG. Always pushing the limits and catering to a growing audience, they enter a cold world of mystery, excess, and danger. When the lines between real life and social media are blurred, the group must fight to escape, and survive.
Meanwhile FOLLOW ME – directed by Will Wernick (ESCAPE ROOM) and starring Holland Roden, Ronen Rubinstein, and Kimberly Quinn – will be supposedly released in theaters (according to the trailer) July 16th! We'll keep you updated if there are any changes.
So what do you guys think? Any fans of escape rooms out there? Either way, sound off below!
