De Niro, 79, congratulates Pacino, 83, on baby

At 83, Al Pacino is looking to get a major whiff of the scent of a baby, announcing he and his 29-year-old girlfriend, Noor Alfallah, are expecting a child together. This calls for a hoo-ah! – or at least a hoo-ray, which close friend Robert De Niro offered Pacino upon hearing the announcement.

During a junket for this month’s Tribeca Film Festival, Robert De Niro told People, “What a guy…Go Al, God bless him.” But Pacino isn’t the only iconic actor having kids when he’d be more expected to have grandkids, as De Niro himself recently unveiled photos of his seventh child, despite turning 80 this August.

So how does the raging bull manage to stay on top of both his career and diapers? As the typically short De Niro put it, “I do it, I manage.” Uh, thanks for the insight there, Bobby…De Niro’s seven children also include 51-year-old Drena and 46-year-old Raphael.

Pacino himself already has three kids: one with 1988-1989 flame Jan Tarrant and two with ex Beverly D’Angelo, who he was with from 1997-2003. On fatherhood, Al Pacino previously stated, “I’m responsible to them. I’m a part of their life. When I’m not, it’s upsetting to me and to them. So that’s part of the gestalt. And I get a lot from it. It takes you out of yourself.” Pacino is looking to be at least 100 years old by the time his new baby graduates high school.

While Al Pacino awaits the arrival of baby number four, the Academy Award winner will have a number of projects in development, including biopic Modi for director Johnny Depp and another collaboration with David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, American Buffalo), who recently announced a picture revolving around the JFK assassination that will also star John Travolta, Shia LaBeouf and more. How adorable would it be for Pacino to read the works of Mamet to his newborn?

How do you feel about Al Pacino becoming a father again at the age of 83 and De Niro dipping into the baby pool at 79? Give us your take on the issue in the comments section below.
