Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara went bananas at Time Warner Investor Day and completely revealed the infamous DC comics movie slate. What had previously been a list of dates is now given some weight, as well an idea of what direction DC is headed with their characters.
Take a look at the DC goodness:
- 03/25/2016 – BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
- 08/05/2016 – SUICIDE SQUAD
- 06/23/2017 – WONDER WOMAN
- 11/12/2017 – THE JUSTICE LEAGUE: PART ONE
- 03/23/2018 – THE FLASH
- 07/27/2018 – AQUAMAN
- 04/05/2019 – SHAZAM
- 06/14/2019 – THE JUSTICE LEAGUE: PART TWO
- 04/03/2020 – CYBORG
- 06/19/2020 – GREEN LANTERN
Some interesting tidbits to note is that Zack Snyder will be directing both Parts One and Two of THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. David Ayer (FURY, END OF WATCH) has officially signed to take on directing duties for the SUICIDE SQUAD flick. Also confirmed is that Ezra Miller (THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN), who was rumored to be up for the role of Nightwing, will be playing the lead role in THE FLASH. Ray Fisher (who's playing a role in BATMAN V SUPERMAN) will of course be playing the lead in the solo CYBORG flick. The Green Lantern flick pegged for 2020 will also be a complete reboot (sorry Ryan Reynolds fans). If you're noticing a lack in Batman and Superman films, no worries, as Warner Bros. did confirm that solo films for both characters are in development, just that no release date had been set at this time. Whew! Got all that?
