After Comic-Con@Home underwhelmed with its virtual event last year, Warner Bros. came out firing on all cylinders with their virtual fan event, DC FanDome. The global experience was a showcase for their upcoming projects, including major film and television titles, and it proved to be a big hit. Warner Bros. is hoping to replicate that success again this year as DC FanDome will be returning this October.
DC FanDome will make its big return on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM PT. According to Warner Bros., fans will get to see new content and celebrate the stars and creators of their favorite feature films, live-action and animated television series, games, comics, home entertainment releases, and more. The projects that should be in attendance for DC FanDome include Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, The Batman, which will be releasing an exclusive new trailer, Batwoman, Black Adam, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash (film and TV), Peacemaker, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and many more. Talent that will be appearing will be announced closer to the day of the event.
DC FanDome, which will once again be a free virtual event, will welcome fans from around the world to immerse themselves in the DC Multiverse at DCFanDome.com. The event will also be available on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, which will give fans even more ways to watch all the events unfolding in DC FanDome’s Hall of Heroes.
Kids will also get to enjoy the event once again with DC Kids FanDome launching with a special kid-friendly experience that can be accessed separately at DCKidsFanDome.com. All of the DC FanDome programming will be captioned in 12 languages, including Arabic, Brazilian, Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, and Spanish. Leading up to DC FanDome, DC Universe Unite will be releasing more than 300 comics and graphic novels available to read for FREE with registration.
DC FanDome 2020 was the first-of-its-kind global virtual fan experience and brought together the largest gathering of talent, announcements, and content reveals in DC history. DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes and DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse generated over 22 million global views across 220 countries and territories with more than 150 million views of trailer content.
