Fox let the apes loose with a recent press release announcing that DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES has officially started filming! They have also revealed the official plot which goes a little something like this:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
Sounds like a good ol' fashion man versus ape scenario. I can dig it! As far as who will be starring in the flick, here's the casting list. Andy Serkis, celebrated for his performance in the last film, reprises his role as Caesar. DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES also stars Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo and Judy Greer.
The flick will be directed by LET ME IN's Matt Reeves with Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver all producing. Right now Twentieth Century Fox is eying a release on May 23, 2014. Nice!
