Last week shared the news with you guys that director Neil Marshall's upcoming reboot of HELLBOY, starring David Harbour from STRANGER THINGS, has been given a January 2019 release date.
Today we have further news on what we can expect from the reboot via David Harbour himself. The actor recently spoke with Variety and dropped some new insights into the film, including how the upcoming film will be "a real monster movie that’s dark and scary."
David Harbour on HELLBOY:
These movies have been of a certain brand. With ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Logan,’ they are trying to do different things. So we are trying to do our own brand of that. I was really excited by that concept — to make a real monster movie that’s dark and scary and about the end of the world.
Harbour on playing Hellboy:
It’s the most physical role I’ve ever played. The stunts are incredible, and the action is really incredible, and I’m way too old to be doing that stuff. It’s two to two-and-a-half hours in [the makeup] chair every morning being painted red with all these prosthetics.
