While I'm sure that many of us thought that self-isolating would be a fantastic opportunity to finally write that screenplay, paint that masterpiece, or learn to play an instrument, it can be hard to get into the creative mind-set as the world falls apart around you; at least, that's been my experience. SHAZAM! director David F. Sandberg doesn't seem to be having that problem however as he's released another creepy short-film which he shot in quarantine along with his wife, Lotta Losten, who also stars in the short. You can check out Not Alone in Here above, which follows a woman who suspects that she's not alone in her house. Sandberg advises you to watch it loud in the dark, if you dare.
When the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us, David F. Sandberg will be getting back behind the camera once again for the SHAZAM! sequel. Sandberg recently said that he had hoped to start shooting this summer, but those plans are on hold for now. "Well, we'll see how long this goes, because I mean, we were going to start shooting this year," Sandberg said. "But, I mean, who knows how long this will go on? I mean, it feels like every movie gets delayed now, so we'll see what happens with Shazam!. But so far, I've been working on the script. We can still do that, so that's being done and then, yeah, we'll just see in a couple of months how it looks, you know?"
SHAZAM! 2 is currently slated for an November 4, 2022 release.
