Dark Places starring Charlize Theron releases international trailer

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

One day after we showed you the international poster for DARK PLACES comes the first trailer, also of the international variety (it’s in English with French subtitles). The film, an adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s novel of the same name, stars Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Christina Hendricks, Chloe Grace Moretz, Corey Stoll, Sterling Jerins, Drea de Matteo and Tye Sheridan.

Taking place in two separate timelines, DARK PLACES goes like this:

DARK PLACES tells the story of Libby Day (Charlize Theron), a woman who, at the age of 7, survives the massacre of her family and testifies against her brother as the murderer. Twenty-five years later, a group obsessed with solving notorious crimes confronts her with questions about the horrific event. Told in a series of flashbacks from the points of view of Libby’s mother, Patty, and her brother, Ben, Libby is forced to revisit that fateful day and begins to question what exactly she saw – or didn’t see – the night of the tragedy.

Directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner, DARK PLACES opens in April in France; we still don’t have a U.S. release date to share.
