It was way back in August of 2012 when we last heard word on OUIJA, an upcoming horror film inspired by the Hasbro board 'game' (is it even really a game?), when writer/director team Juliet Snowden and Stiles White stated that production was 'moving fast'. It wasn't fast enough, apparently, as the film missed its projected release date this past October. Hey, things happen…it's Hollywood! But it seems that things are back on track as Deadline is reporting that "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" star Daren Kagasoff has just signed on to star in the Jason Blum-produced fright flick.
Universal’s pic from directors Juliet Snowden and Stiles White follows…
…a group of teens playing with a Ouija board, making contact with an evil spirit, and desperately trying to close the door they’ve opened before meeting their own fate.
Kagasoff will play Trevor, the handsome boyfriend who is skeptical about reaching out to their dead friend. Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form and Brian Goldner are producing.
Hopefully we'll hear more on OUIJA sooner rather than later. I'm always interested in a fun and freaky film revolving around the ol' Ouija board.
