Daredevil has been renewed plus first teasers for Luke Cage & The Defenders

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Marvel & Netflix have enjoyed a great partnership over the past year and the Marvel Television panel at San Diego Comic-Con definitely celebrated that by throwing down announcements, brand-new teasers and more! You can expect a much more detailed rundown of everything that went down at the Marvel TV panel later tonight, but we'll bring you a few of the major highlights right now.

First off, Marvel's Daredevil has been renewed for a third season which is very exciting news for Daredevil fans. No word yet on when that new season will debut, but it's good knowing that Charlie Cox will once again be handing out justice on the streets of Hell's Kitchen.

The next Marvel/Netflix series to debut will be Luke Cage, which will have Mike Colter returning to fill the badass shoes of the title character for his very own series. All thirteen episodes of Luke Cage will premiere on Netflix on September 30th but in the meantime, enjoy this fantastic new teaser in which Luke Cage makes very good use out of a car door.

We're still a good year or so away from The Defenders, the Netflix mini-series which will bring Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist together to face their biggest threat yet, but the upcoming series was not forgotten at SDCC as a short but effective teaser/title graphic reveal was also released.

We'll finish things off with a simple teaser poster for Marvel's Iron Fist, which doesn't have a firm release date as of yet, but make sure to check back later tonight for a much more detailed breakdown of the Marvel TV panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2016!
