Close to thirty years after he composed the iconic theme for Tim Burton's BATMAN, it seems that Danny Elfman will get another shot at the Dark Knight, along with a few other heroes to boot. Zack Snyder had been working with Antonius Holkenborg, aka Junkie XL, on the JUSTICE LEAGUE score, but THR reports that Holkenborg has moved on to TOMB RAIDER and that Danny Elfman will be replacing him.
Additional photography on the Warner Bros. film is getting underway in London under the direction of Joss Whedon, who Zack Snyder had brought in to rewrite some additional scenes. A heartbreaking family tragedy led to Snyder stepping aside altogether and Whedon agreed to handle the reshoot and post-production work on the film in order to complete Snyder's vision. This won't be the first time that Danny Elfman will have collaborated with Joss Whedon, as he also composed additional music for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.

JUSTICE LEAGUE will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
