With all the problems that have plagued THE GREEN HORNET since its inception, I’m only half convinced at this point it’ll actually end up seeing the light of day as the next thing you know, we’ll see Seth Rogen walking away or something, but until that happens, we have a bit of probably good news to report about the project.
Danny Elfman is said to be scoring the film, according to a quote from Film Score Daily’s Top Forty Composer Countdown which reads: “he returns to the superhero genre with THE GREEN HORNET.” This is the first time anyone has mentioned this, but the site is said to be pretty reliable, so it’s most likely happening.
Gondry, Elfman, Rogen and the Green Hornet seems like an exceptionally bizarre combination to me, but I guess that’s kind of the idea behind this whole movie in the first place, and if it does end up pulling itself together, it might very well surprise us all.
GREEN HORNET hits theaters December 22nd, 2010. Probably.
