When Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard return to reprise their JURASSIC WORLD roles in director J.A. Bayona's upcoming sequel, they'll be sharing the screen with a new lead character to be played by Daniella Pineda.
Television viewers may know Pineda from the CW horror shows The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, the TBS comedy The Detour, or the NBC drama American Odyssey. The JURASSIC WORLD sequel will be her first major studio film.
Also signed on to star in the film are Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, and Justice Smith.
JURASSIC WORLD director Colin Trevorrow is executive producing the sequel alongside Steven Spielberg and has written the screenplay with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall, Pat Crowley, and Belén Atienza are producing the film, which doesn't yet have an official title.
I'm not familiar with Pineda, but after reading her excited reaction to her casting on Twitter I'm already becoming a fan.
