Daniel Radcliffe is interesting in taking a lead role in Frankenstein

Now that Shawn Levy has dropped the latest adaptation of Mary Shelley’s FRANKENSTEIN, and Paul McGuigan (LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN) has picked it up there has been more of a positive buzz surrounding the movie. It can’t hurt that Max Landis (CHRONICLE) is the scribe on the project either.

The buzz has reached Daniel Radcliffe, who is presently interested in taking a role in the film. Who does he want to play? The Hunchback. The character is being described as, “as pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing.” Landis’ adaptation of Shelley’s novel is going to put, “a sci-fi take on this classic story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment.” Once the script is finalized, the studio will be getting into serious talks with actors.

After Levy left due to conflicts over budget issues, McGuigan came in earlier this month to take on the role as helmer.

Do you see DanRad as the hunchback? Ah, give the kid a chance.
