Daniel Day-Lewis fits into Abe Lincoln’s stovepipe hat perfectly

We knew that Daniel Day-Lewis got the facial hair down pat for LINCOLN, but in the outfit? He looks downright uncanny. 

This set picture comes to us from the Richmond Times-Dispatch, who caught Day-Lewis walking around with the director of the film, Steven Spielberg.

Richmond has apparently gone celebrity mad, and you can’t really blame them with the staggering amount of fantastic actors that’s crammed into this film. Daniel Day-Lewis stars alongside (deep breath)- Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Hal Holbrook, James Spader, John Hawkes, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill, Joseph Cross, David Costabile, Byron Jennings, Dakin Matthews, Boris McGiver, Gloria Reuben, Jeremy Strong, David Warshofsky, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, Lee Pace, Jackie Earle Haley, David Oyelowo and Jared Harris.

The city is expected to earn $35 million in direct sales thanks to the film shoot, and they’re hoping to get a screening for the community.
