During the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige laid out Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to feature-films, the fourth phase will also include a series of Marvel TV shows which will debut on Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney+. The first series out of the gate will be The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will focus on Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) after the events of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, but the two heroes will find themselves menaced by Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), the villain last seen in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.

It was during the Marvel Studios panel when the presentation was hijacked by Baron Zemo himself, and Daniel Brühl has shared two images from that presentation which gives us our first look at Zemo in the upcoming series. Check it out!

The Baron Zemo we met in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR wasn't exactly the one we remember from the comics, as this version was a former Colonel of the Sokovian Armed Forces. Following the Battle of Sokovia in AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, Zemo became obsessed with seeking revenge against the Avengers after losing his family. The villain then masterminded a plan which fractured the Avengers and attempted to commit suicide before he was stopped by Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), who turned him over to the authorities.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will debut on Disney+ August 2020.
