Dangerous: Mel Gibson, Scott Eastwood & Tyrese lead new action thriller

The American Film Market (AFM) continues to showcase solid ensemble projects and the next one to come out of the event is DANGEROUS, a new action thriller that is set to be led by Mel Gibson, Scott Eastwood, and Tyrese Gibson.

David Hackl, who helmed SAW V, is taking on directing duties that will see Eastwood playing a reformed sociopath who, after the death of his brother, heads to a remote island which soon falls under siege from a deadly gang of mercenaries. Forced to fend for himself, he discovers their role in his brother’s demise and sets off on a relentless quest for vengeance. Rounding out the cast is Famke Janssen and Kevin Durand.

The project is gearing up to shoot later this month in Canada. International Film Trust is launching world sales (minus Canada) at this week’s virtual AFM. International Film Trust will also finance the project along with Invico Capital and 3 Point Capital. Serving as producers will be Kevin DeWalt and Ben DeWalt for Minds Eye Entertainment and Doug Falconer for Falconer Pictures. Michael Benaroya is executive-producing for his Benaroya Pictures and Todd Shepherd is executive-producing for Miscellaneous Entertainment.

Certainly sounds like an interesting project and I definitely dig the cast. Should be a fun one if done right. Does DANGEROUS sound like an interesting project to YOU?
