A few years ago, Netflix and Imaginarium Productions teamed up for an adaptation of author Adam Nevill's novel THE RITUAL, and it turned out so well that the companies are now working together to bring Nevill's NO ONE GETS OUT ALIVE to the screen. (You can pick up a copy of the book at THIS LINK.)
Santiago Menghini will be making his feature directorial debut on NO ONE GETS OUT ALIVE, working from a screenplay by Jon Croker and Fernanda Coppel. The story centers on
an immigrant in search of the American dream who, after being forced to take a room in a boarding house, finds herself in a nightmare she can’t escape.
Cristina Rodlo, who genre fans might have seen in the second season of the AMC series The Terror, and Marc Menchaca of HBO's Stephen King series The Outsider have signed on to star in the film.
Jonathan Cavendish and Will Tennant will be producing NO ONE GETS OUT ALIVE, with Nevill, Andy Serkis, Phil Robertson, and THE RITUAL director David Bruckner serving as executive producers.
Filming is scheduled to begin in Bucharest, Romania sometime this month.
I haven't read any of Nevill's books, but I liked the movie version of THE RITUAL, so I look forward to seeing how this adaptation will turn out.
