Crispin Glover to play a psycho killer in Roger Avary’s Lucky Day

In one of the coolest and most exciting casting announcements I've heard in a while (at least in the realm of original films rather than franchise entries), it has been revealed that Crispin Glover will be playing a psychopathic killer in the new film from Roger Avary, LUCKY DAY.

Glover is joining a cast that includes Nina Dobrev, Luke Bracey, and Michael Madsen to play

Luc, an utterly psychopathic contract killer who is on a hunt to avenge the death of his brother, accidentally killed by American safe-cracker Red (Bracey) during a job gone wrong. Dobrev plays Red’s wife and the mother of his child.

Described as a "smart, dark, and totally irreverent crime thriller", LUCKY DAY is written and directed by Roger Avary and produced by Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody.

Hadida says that Glover's character "takes malevolence to a whole new level". Yes, I want to see this. Put Glover on that set and let him go nuts.

Avary won an Academy Award for writing PULP FICTION with Quentin Tarantino. He has gone on to write such films as SILENT HILL and Robert Zemeckis's BEOWULF. He previously directed KILLING ZOE, the TV movie MR. STITCH, and the awesome Bret Easton Ellis adaptation THE RULES OF ATTRACTION.
