Director L. Gustavo Cooper has just finished up on his supernatural thriller JUNE which sees “The Walking Dead” star Kennedy Brice in the leading role as an innocent little girl that becomes the vessel for an ancient supernatural being. Basically, she’s playing an evil youngster who goes around destroying everything in her path. Could be solid! The one thing that worries me, however, is that JUNE already sounds very familiar. So I'm hoping that instead of being a by-the-numbers horror flick, we get something different that takes the whole possessed little kid thing to new territory. Time will tell, folks! Dig on the new imagery below and see what you think.
JUNE is the story about…
…a nine-year-old orphan who has become the vessel of a supernatural being called Aer. June struggles holding Aer back from lashing out when other kids tease and bully her. Aer leaves a trail of damaged and destroyed foster homes in her wake. June quickly bonds with her new adoptive parents, Lily and Dave. But she must discover her true identity to overcome this inner demon in order to save herself and her new family and to find love and acceptance in a chaotic world.
