This concept has been applied before (anyone remember the different directors of Star Wars?) but I’ve never seen it done quite so well, from the desaturated colors to the lens flares and, of course, the main ingredient to any Michael Bay film: ‘splosions. UP is regarded as one of the greatest modern animation films of all time and rightfully so. Although it could have been a lot different, if under Bay’s direction.
