Cool Videos: Watch Darren Aronofsky’s brutal anti-meth PSAs

Returning to the world of fucking us up with the horrors of drug use, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM director Darren Aronofsky recently directed three new PSAs about the use of meth. The TV ads will run in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Montana, and Wyoming – states with the largest numbers of meth users. The ads are going online in conjunction with today’s launch of MethProject.org, a site devoted to promoting meth awareness among teens.

As for the ads? Well, what do you expect. They’re uncompromising, gritty and bleak – everything you’d want from an Aronofsky anti-drug PSA (though couldn’t they just show every kid REQUIEM in health class?).
