Cool Videos: Tim Burton working at Disney in 1980

This is a rather cool, strange video that shows a young Tim Burton working at Disney in 1980. I’m not even sure how big camcorders were back then, but the cameraman must have had a hernia carrying it around.

Speaking of the cameraman, that would be John Lasseter of Pixar fame. As evidenced by this video, you really couldn’t have two more opposite personalities than Lasseter and Burton. Burton literally doesn’t say a word for the duration of the clip, looking like a mole that was just rustled out of his deep dark hole. His strange behavior prompts Lasseter to call him a “gas.” Oh, the ’80s.
