Thomas Jane always made an excellent version of THE PUNISHER. Unfortunately, the movie his character inhabited was not so good. But, Thomas Jane does not give up lightly. Then man is a comic book fan to the core and when he recently headed a panel at Comic Con for his own RAW Studios, he brought a little present.
Thomas Jane enlisted screenwriter Chad St. John, director Phil Joanou, and acting buddy Ron Perlman to create a short film starring Frank Castle. The resulting ten minute movie is actually pretty good and way better than either of the theatrical movies featuring THE PUNISHER.

According to Thomas Jane, “I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.”
I commend Jane’s dedication and love of both comics and movies. I hope Marvel takes notice of this film and offers him another chance to bring THE PUNISHER to the big screen. Give Jane carte blanche with the character to make THE EXPENDABLES of comic book movies.
