The other day we had a story about Terrence Malick being caught on video directing Christian Bale for an unknown project, and I said that it was sort of like spotting Sasquatch in the wild. You know who else is a bit of a cinematic Sasquatch?
Stanley Kubrick.
A not often seen documentary on the famously reclusive filmmaker called STANLEY KUBRICK: THE INVISIBLE MAN released back in 1996 has apparently been floating around the YouTubes for some time (thanks to GeekTyrant for digging it up). For us film buffs and Kubrick fans, it is an absolutely fascinating account of the legendary director and his artistic approach. The footage of him working is 100% Sasquatch.
Part 1 of the documentary is embedded below, but be sure to check out PART 2, PART 3, PART 4, PART 5, and PART 6 when you can. Footage totals about an hour.
