The Simpson's episode "Oh Brother, Where Art Though?" is a classic. You learn that Homer has a long lost brother named Herb (voiced by Danny Devito) and what a car designed by Homer and his not so giant brain would look like. That car, of course, was The Homer. With a price tag of $82,000 it bankrupted Herb's car company but the automobile did come with some fantastic features such as two bubble domes, giant cup holders, three horns that play "La Cucaracha" and an engine that causes people to think the world is going to end.
The people at Porcubimmer Motors must be a fan of The Simpson's because they've created a real version of The Homer and raced it this past weekend at the 24 Hours of LeMons Race in California. Although it doesn't have all the features that the cartoon one had I would like to think Homer J. Simpson would be pleased with this car.
