We all know that the X-MEN: FIRST CLASS is set during the Cuban Missile Crisis for the most part, but outside of the wardrobe, the film itself looks very 21st century.
That’s about to change with this title sequence created by Joe D, which introduces the film in a style that you’ll recognize from decades past. It’s animation spliced with images from the film itself, all underscored by a haunting rendition of the original X-Men theme.
I dig it, and could easily see something similar opening the movie if they wanted to get all artsy with it. My only suggestion would be to leave out the real-life images of the cast and crew being listed onscreen, and just go for pure animation.
