When it was first announced that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg would be developing a series for AMC based upon Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's "Preacher", many fans had their doubts that these were the pair to give "Preacher" the adaptation it deserved. With just a few days until the series premiere, it feels as though most of those doubts have vanished as everything we've seen from Preacher points to it being just as intense and messed up as its comic counterpart. Although Seth Rogen serves as executive producer of Preacher and co-directed the pilot with Evan Goldberg, he doesn't actually appear in the series, which is something Rogen sought to remedy with the following handmade trailer.
