Owning a piece of movie memorabilia is always a cool thing we wish we could all regularly take part in. However, there are only so many pieces to go around, and we only have limited amounts of money. For most of us, things like paying bills and feeding our families take precedent over splurging on that thing from that movie you loved that you wish you could have, so it could collect dust on a shelf somewhere. But making a replica on a budget, so we can share in the spirit of the thing anyway? That is sometimes the way to go. Plus, it involves creating something with your own two hands anyway, so there’s an extra sense of accomplishment that goes with it that money just can’t buy (at least that’s what we tell ourselves to make each other feel better).

Today is the day for some of you to embrace your TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES fandom, because what you now have the opportunity to do, by following some carefully laid out instructions, is to build your own canister of ooze from TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2: THE SECRET OF THE OOZE.

Thanks to the DIY Prop Shop, they’ve got the blueprint for you to construct a replica of this very important piece of mutant history. This is what turned those little tiny turtles into those big ninja ones we know and love. This means something.
