Cool Videos: Kids reenact Oscar nominees Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained, and more!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Don’t worry guys and gals, after Sunday, you won’t have to worry about any articles about the Academy Awards for another year. But, until then, we have more fun videos involving the various nominees for Best Picture. First up we have a funny take from the crew over at Official Comedy. Here they present Kid Oscars, which features children re-enacting Best Picture nominees DJANGO UNCHAINED, ZERO DARK THIRTY, LINCOLN, BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD, and ARGO.

I have to say I laughed a lot at this video. The fact that these are little jabs at the movies mixed together with the kids mangling dialogue from the movies makes them all the more funny. I now know I want nothing more than a Quentin Tarantino movie with an all child cast. That would be epic.

Next we have a spoof from The Chuckle Squad combining ZERO DARK THIRTY with MTV’s CATFISH. I can almost imagine an actual episode of the show stumbling across a CIA torture/interrogation and not thinking much of it. What will become of the next generation!

In both cases, I think they hit the nail on the head spoofing these Oscar nominees. Remember, it is okay to poke fun at movies, even the best movies, as long as you do it in a funny way. I am just a little disappointed that we have not gotten any spoofs of AMOUR.
