Cool Videos: Check out this classic Fight Club scene with Brad Pitt removed

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

This year marks the 15th anniversary of David Fincher‘s FIGHT CLUB starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. While not a critical darling like Fincher’s subsequent films, FIGHT CLUB remains a seminal film for many. Based on the equally popular novel by Chuck Palahniuk, FIGHT CLUB is full of mind-f*ck moments that still drive people batty upon their first viewing.

One of the biggest twists in the film has to do with the true nature of who Tyler Durden is. I don’t want to spoil the ending of the film for those who have not seen the movie, but below is an interesting video regarding a key scene from the film. The quotable line “I want you to hit me as hard as you can” takes on a weird meaning once you have seen the entire film. Visual effects expert Richard Trammell took that scene to task and removed Brad Pitt entirely. The results are quite odd and show just how crazy Edward Norton‘s character may have been.

Check out the re-edited scene below.
