Cartoon Network’s STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS has been a mixed bag for me. It began with the animated feature, transitioning into the weekly show, now in its fifth season, and has now reached its 100th episode. To celebrate the occasion, Lucasfilm animation has put together this retrospective video, collecting scenes from all five seasons. It’s a cool look back, especially using the old John Williams music to push it along.
It’s been a surprisingly successful show with some great highs, but not without some serious lulls in progress, especially with the galactic politics episodes. The show has focused mostly on Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Anakin’s apprentice, Ahsoka with a host of familiar and new faces, worlds, and conflicts, but all within the realm of the Clone Wars. Personally, I’m ready to see an animated Star Wars series set in a different time frame, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t fun to be had here.
Enjoy:
Currently, STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS is playing on Cartoon Network, but with Disney’s recent acquisition of Lucasfilm, it’s likely that the show will move to Disney XD.
